On a recent Thursday night Sister Lisa Maurer, OSB was the guest speaker at Theology-on-Tap, an event sponsored by the Duluth Superior Catholic Young Adults Group.
Sister Lisa’s topic, as she spoke at Dubh Linn Irish Pub to the thirty gathered young adults, was Humility: Living with Purity of Heart. She shared about the Rule of Benedict, specifically chapter seven on humility. “To put it simply,” Sister Lisa said, “living in a spirit of humility is about purity of heart. It is being aware of the presence of God and living so that others see Christ in you and you see Christ in others.”
Theology-on-Tap is a speakers’ series that brings challenging and exciting topics to young adult Christian Catholics in the Twin Ports. The group’s goal is to bring young Catholics together so they may share faith and grow in their relationship with God.
