Gloria!

Resurrection day!
Alleluia! Alleluia!!
Amid the colored leaves,
The season of autumn,
When earth prepares
To rest and renew
Our beloved Sister
Bids us farewell.
Resting in loving arms
Of Mother Mary
And Jesus, her Son
She is finally Home,
Whole and holy.

And Easter lilies bloom.
Gloria! They sing
Chanting her name.
And the eagle soars
High and majestic
Over the open earth
Where her body lies
Peaceful and still.
Yet her spirit soars
Like the eagle!
“Watch me fly,”
She exclaims!
I am free!
