Sister Pauline Micke at the DECC

On Monday, October 4, Sister Pauline Micke, OS B and Father Steve Ulrick, Pastor, L.S.W., Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Bloomington, Minnesota, gave a presentation at the St. Louis County Health & Human Service Conference at the DECC in Duluth, Minnesota.  The theme of the conference was “Conquering Fear: Living Boldly in an Uncertain World.”

Sister Pauline and Father Steve’s topic was “Stepping Through Fear into Healing and Recovery.” The Twelve Steps and personal spirituality can provide the means to cope with the fears, the stresses, and the constant change in our lives and to move from fear-based living into a life of healing and recovery. Sister Pauline, a Benedictine Sister of St. Scholastica Monastery in Duluth, has an M.A. in Theology and is a certified spiritual director and addiction counselor.  She is the director of the Benedictine Center of Spirituality at the Monastery.
