Labyrinth/Finding the Center

On this Feast of Creation
The green grass beckons
I stroll kissed by the sun
Down the hill where a stone
Marks a window to my soul
Planted firmly on the Rock
I consider walking the road
Of winding paths before me
Passages to the center
And back out again
What will I discover here
I dare to take the first step
Into this intricate network
Designed to draw me in
To my center
To the simple treasure
Of who I am
I’ve walked this way before
Yet each time is new
Each time my eyes open
To the beauty newly created
When You and I meet
A walk to Emmaus
My heart sees more clearly
The truth of who You are
And in lovely mystery
I realize the transformation
Taking place within me
Moment by moment
Day by day
Made whole
In Your Image
Co-creation
Feast

“Our humanity comes to its fullest bloom in giving. We become beautiful people when we give whatever we can give: a smile, a handshake, a kiss, an embrace, a word of love, a present, a part of our life...all of our life.”
–Henri Nouwen
