Psalm for Deliverance

This week’s meditation is “Psalm for Deliverance, a song by Sister Jayne.” Pray and reflect with us!

Psalm For Deliverance
(Sister Jayne Erickson, OSB, 1/8/2026)

O Lord, deliver us from evil;
O Lord, deliver us from fear;
O Lord, deliver us from violence and hatred;
Deliver us from all harm.

O Lord, protect us from the wicked;
O Lord, protect us day and night;
O Lord, protect us from all war and tribulation;
Deliver us into peace.

Peace I offer you, My child,
Peace sown deeply in your heart.
Come to Me and let Me take your burden.
Come to Me and let Me guard your heart.

Let My Spirit breathe within you.
Let hope eternal quiet all your fears
For never will I leave you, never let you go.
My child, I hold you near.

The cloister walk connects the Chapel and Monastery. It is a place of beauty, peace, and silence that provides a contemplative transition from prayer to ministry. A second cloister walk connects the Chapel to the College of St. Scholastica.
