Like a Campfire

Raise my awareness
Of Spirit spark in me
Though the weight of burden
Creeps in like a thief
In utter darkness
To rob me of joy and wonder
Your Flame in me will not die
Though an unwelcome chill
Of cold and damp rush in
Making it appear to flicker
Or even vanish from my sight
Causing me to feel small
Even insignificant or worse
But embers glow in silence
Tiptoe gracefully in rhythm
Waiting in the stillness
For my heart to remember
All it takes is one small breath
To ignite the fire that is You
One small breath to rekindle
The everlasting flame of truth
I in You and You in me
A spark of Spirit dwells within
