I’m not going to lie. It can be hard to follow God. Sometimes. Many times. Often.
It can be hard to follow God. We can face temptations. We can suffer. We can grow weary. We can waver between trusting God and questioning His existence. One moment we can glory in God’s goodness and the next moment be in the throes of despair and lament. But the truth still stands. God has promised us his goodness! So, we can’t let ourselves get stuck in the “hardness” of following God.
Yes, it can be hard but as the psalmist says, “Goodness and mercy shall pursue us, all the days of our lives” (Psalm 23:6) and so he exults, “How great is the goodness, O Lord, which you have in story for those who fear you.” (Psalm 31:20)
