Holy Rosary Fifth Graders Visit the Monastery

An overcast day with sprinkles interspersed with showers did not dampen the excited and receptive spirits of the Holy Rosary School fifth graders.  Thirty-one fifth graders and their two teachers were our Monastery guests on May 5.The experience was a delight for the students and the Sisters.  Here are some comments culled from their thank-you notes:The "Photograph Room"“It was cool to talk with real Sisters!!”  “I also enjoyed touring the Monastery, and it felt like I was an actual nun!  It was a really cool experience!  I wish I could go back!”  “My favorite part of the Monastery was the photograph room and your garden was pretty even though it was raining.”   Sister Joyce with fifth graders“I had the most wonderful time sitting with you at lunch yesterday . . . I deeply enjoyed our conversation, Mass, and walking around the Monastery.”  “We learned a lot; actually it was so much, it just piled and piled into my brain.”  “I hope you will enjoy everyday of your life the same way I did today.”

The Framing and Photography Shop
Sister Joyce Fournier runs the St. Scholastica Framing and Photography Shop. Here she describes the many possible componants that can go into a framed picture.

We were blessed to have these Holy Rosary fifth graders with us.   Their quickness of mind and polite behavior have given us much hope and joy.
