While I was walking through the Garden Court the other day, I almost missed a little daisy growing out of the grass. I was moving quickly with my mind on other things and really paid no heed to the solo flower I saw out of the corner of my eye. But I thought better, stopped, and turned around to inspect the lovely sight.
Sometimes I treat God like I did that little daisy. I don’t take time to notice His presence in my life. I don’t pay attention to the blessings that come my way. I get so busy with my life, my agenda, and my thoughts that I miss the presence of God.
We need to perceive God’s presence in the little things of each day. We should never let the opportunity to love and serve Him pass us by. We must be ready and watching for Him. Don’t miss it when God makes His blessings known!
“Beware of the grace of God that passes and does not return.”
St. Augustine
