An Autumn Prayer

God of all creation, as you transform the earth this autumn, transform me.

As you bring coolness to the air, give me a fresh attitude.

As you color the trees, give me a vibrant outlook on life.

As you cause the flowers to fade, give me a humble core.

As you make the animals to hibernate, give me the wisdom to rest in you.

As you guide the birds to fly south, give me the courage to follow you.

As you provide the fruitful harvest, give me a gracious spirit.

As you touch the world with frost, give me a warm and loving heart.

As you lengthen the nights, give me peace in my soul.
