Momma’s Love

October 28, 2008, my mom, Josie, went to her eternal home.
Today, I sing this lullaby as I remember her.

Momma’s Love
(Sr. Jayne Erickson, 9-20-2025)

Cradled in the arms of Momma’s love I will rest,
Safe and secure in the memories so blest.
Love eternal, holy and pure,
Cradled in the arms of Momma’s love I will rest.

And when I awake, no matter where I may roam,
In Momma’s love I will always be at home.
From the sunrise to darkest night,
Momma’s love is with me.
I will never be alone.

Cradled in the arms of Momma’s love I will rest,
Safe and secure in the memories so blest.
Love eternal, holy and pure,
Cradled in the arms of Momma’s love I will rest.

“Our humanity comes to its fullest bloom in giving. We become beautiful people when we give whatever we can give: a smile, a handshake, a kiss, an embrace, a word of love, a present, a part of our life...all of our life.”
–Henri Nouwen
