Silvio Lidio Zabala from the Bronx, New York City, has graduated as part of the Marshall School class of 2010. He said he was able to see his dream come true because he was the recipient of the Benedictine Community Scholarship Fund, which provides need-based tuition to students with strong commitment to learning. Benedictine Sisters attending the ceremony were Sister Lois Eckes (above left), Prioress of St. Scholastica Monastery, Sister Patricia Anne Williams (second photo at left), and Sister Melanie Gagne (at right). Silvio will be continuing his education at St. John’s University where he has accepted a scholarship and said he hopes to achieve one other goal (in addition to academic excellence) while there—to play football for St. John’s! Congratulations and best wishes for your future, Silvio!
