sSister Devota LaVoie Turns 103

Sister Devota LaVoie jokes about her birthdays.  She says she thinks the staff is having parties for her more than once a year.

When you’ve turned 103, you have every right to wonder!

Many loving family members had come to visit her on Friday afternoon, July 26th, and say Happy Birthday!  She even enjoyed the attention of a little dog that one family brought along.

Family, members of the Community, staff from various departments, and Sisters who also live on Benet Hall and knew her way back when, all contributed to an upbeat, moderately clamorous, happy time in the Benet Hall dining room.

What is really the best part of a 103rd Birthday party?

Many photos and much love?
A good and well-lived life?
Hand squeezes and cheek touches and kisses and hugs from family
   and friends?
Fond memories and laughter?
Many, many cards!?
A beautifully decorated cake with no candles on it?

It doesn’t matter because Sister Devota appeared to have it all!
