Sister Lisa Maurer, OSB was the guest speaker at the October 5 meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Friendly Duluth. She was invited to share with the group her story as a Benedictine Sister and football coach.
“I was very excited to speak to the Kiwanis,” Sister Lisa said. “They are a group that is dedicated to making a difference in the world through service, and my life as a Benedictine Sister goes well with that!”
In her talk, Sister Lisa complemented the Kiwanis on their mission of changing the world, one child and one community at a time. She used the core values of the College of St. Scholastica as the frame work for her talk and told stories from her experience as a football coach.
