Sister Dorene King of St. Scholastica Monastery will be playing and singing in the role of the Mayor’s wife in Seussical, The  Musical, based on the popular works of Dr. Seuss and directed by Merry Renn Vaughen.  The musical at The College of St. Scolastica begins its run on Friday, April 12, and will run on ten other days through April 28th.

The Cat in the Hat narrates this musical story of the life of Horton the Elephant…. Anything is possible as classic Seuss rhymes and locations are set to music by Stephen Flaherty, Lynn Ahrens and Eric Idle. There is something for theatre goers of all ages; the insight, humor and imagination of Seuss come to life through story and song featuring his colorful characters.” (From the CSS Seussical poster)

“Our humanity comes to its fullest bloom in giving. We become beautiful people when we give whatever we can give: a smile, a handshake, a kiss, an embrace, a word of love, a present, a part of our life...all of our life.”
–Henri Nouwen
