In her ministry as Pastoral Associate at the parishes of St. Lawrence and St. Joseph, Sister Lisa Maurer, OSB, is spearheading a new endeavor. Sister Lisa, along with parishioners Pat Domagala and Sue Raimo has begun Anam Cara (Soul Friends), a group that sponsors and produces spiritual enrichment opportunities for the entire parish.
Pat Domagala, a graduate of the Shalom Spiritual Directors Training Program at St. Scholastica Monastery is actively sharing her gifts and reaching out to members of her parish. Pat has begun a weekly Lectio Divina group and has directed mini-retreats. Sister Lisa commented, “It is a blessing to have parish members step forward and be willing leaders in the faith-life of the parish. As a Benedictine Sister I am proud of Pat for sharing what she has learned and cultivated in the Shalom Program. What a great extension of Benedictine spirituality.”[photos by Sister Lisa]
