St. Scholastica Monastery along with CHUM (Churches United in Ministry, working for the homeless and poor) is gearing up for the Rhubarb Festival. The annual Rhubarb Festival is becomning a huge Duluth community event. The festival which first began in June of 2005 offers rhubarb pies, jams, crisp, wine, and every other conceivable item made with rhubarb. There are also other food offerings, entertainment groups, contests, and children’s activities.
There will be a silent auction this year for an assortment of attractive items including pottery, children’s toys, Italian cooking needs, and picnic accoutrements.
This year the event will be Saturday, June 23rd, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 1100 East Superior Street in Duluth.
