Do you have hope of heaven? Is heaven your goal? Are you looking forward to going there? I know I am, and I pray you are too. What a glorious future God has prepared for us!
Heaven is a great place of joy and peace. Heaven is the place of hope because the God of Hope is there. It is a place of joy because there we will be with Jesus, the cause of all our joy, and present sufferings shall be no more.
The knowledge that such a place is promised to us for eternity should be a comfort and bolster us during times of difficulty. It should bring us hope. We can’t let the burdens and hardships of this life distract us or discourage us. So let us keep our eyes firmly fixed on what God has promised at the end of our journey: heaven itself!
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Think of what is above, not of what is on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory” (Colossians 3:1-4).
