This past week I had the privilege of being a part of the wedding of Janelle, one of my Benedictine Friends and a soon to be graduate of The College of St. Scholastica, and Clayton. They granted me the blessing of proclaiming the readings at their wedding Mass and leading their family and friends at prayer before their festive (and shall I say delicious) meals.
It was wonderful to be a part of such a glorious weekend. I was honored to witness the joy of Janelle and Clayton as they begin their lives together as well as the love and support of their family and friends. Such an occasion gives me pause to reflect upon my own vocation and the way that God invites me to love and serve Him as I love and serve the world. I marvel at how God calls each of us to a unique vocation whether it is in the married state, single state, priesthood, or religious life. And yet we are called for the same reason . . .
to be a part of GOD’S ABUNDANT LOVE!
