Sister Jeanne Ann Weber – Leave your Boats, Nets, Kayaks, Canoes and Follow Me

This title is a paraphrase of Sunday’s Gospel from Matthew 4:12-23.  To follow Christ is a call to us all – to let go of whatever hinders us from following Christ more fully, completely, and deeply.  This scripture is also used in reference to Christ’s specific call to follow him in consecrated life or the priesthood.

Leave your boats, nets, kayaks, canoes, and follow me!

Since I am a member of our Community’s Vocation Ministry Team, I encourage anyone who feels called by God to follow him in consecrated life, or more specifically as a member of a Benedictine Monastic Community, to check it out, pursue your heart’s desire, discern, and pray. You may wish to attend the Women’s Weekend Discernment Retreat at our Monastery on February 11-13.   See the announcement in the News and Events Section  for more information.
