Raising Funds for a School Bus for Children in Tanzania

Check out this article in the Duluth News Tribune about Sr. Gaudenisa Mwanyika, St. Scholastica alum who opened a school back home to better serve marginalized children in Tanzania. A fundraising dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Somers Lounge at the College of St. Scholastica. The event will raise money for Sister Gaudensia Mwanyika to purchase a school bus for her school in Tanzania. Tickets will be available at the door and the suggested donation is $10.

To contribute to this School bus project:

Option 1: Online

  1. Go to the Duluth Benedictine’s GIVE page
  2. Write Tanzania School Bus in the “In Honor of” box
  3. Under Fund Designation select “Twinning Project”

Option 2: Check

  1. Write a check with “Tanzania School Bus” in the memo line.
  2. Mail check to: St. Scholastica Monastery, 1001 Kenwood Ave, Duluth, MN 55811
