No Reservation Needed

On a cold winter’s day while walking along Lake Michigan on the southside of Chicago, I saw a magnificently humorous site. I came upon a picnic table incased in ice. I laughed to think that there would be no waiting to reserve this picnic spot.

I am so happy that I don’t have to wait to talk to God. Wouldn’t it be horrible if talking to God was like getting a table at a fancy restaurant, or reserving a camping site! With billions of people in the world I would never get an appointment!

I am thankful God is not limited by time and space, or height or depth. God does not have call waiting or only so many chairs in his waiting room. In fact, God doesn’t even have a phone or waiting room.

God’s omnipresence means that God is everywhere at one time. God has time and attention for everyone at all times. This means I can call upon God at any time. I can communicate with God in any moment. I don’t have to wait in line or call ahead. God is always available. No reservation needed!

I sought the Lord and He answered me.  Ps.34
