The Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery are pleased to announce Jan M. Barrett as their development and public relations director. Barrett comes to the Monastery with more than 23 years of progressively challenging positions in public relations, education, communications, marketing and project management. Barrett spent the last 12 years as the education manager for the Benedictine Health System, a Catholic, long-term care organization sponsored by the Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery. Barrett holds a bachelor of arts degree in communications with an emphasis in organizational and interpersonal communications from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
“It’s an honor to work for these extraordinary women who have brought decades of rich history to our communities while continuing to respond to the needs of the Church and the world through their ministries which include, education, health care, retreat and pastoral work, liturgy, creative arts, and peace and justice.” My passion is to serve the Sisters by growing, developing and sustaining the future of the St. Scholastica Monastery,” states Barrett.
