Are you a friend of the Lord? Do you make known the splendor of his kingdom? Psalm 145 says that friends of the Lord make known the glorious splendor of his kingdom. How are you doing with that?
As we continue to hear readings from the Acts of the Apostles this Easter season, we are told of the works of the early Christians, how they are making known the glorious splendor of his kingdom. In the fourteenth chapter of Acts, we have a list of the places that Paul and Barnabas shared the Good News. They went to Derbe, Lystra, Iconium, Antioch, Pisidia, Pamphylia, Perga, and Attalia. What a list! And, who knows, I could have missed a city or two!
Where have you told the news of Jesus? In what places have you shared the glorious splendor of his kingdom? In which cities and towns have you demonstrated that you are a friend of the Lord?
I think I am going to take some time and make a list of all the places I have made known the glorious splendor of his kingdom. It might be interesting to sit down and take an inventory of all the times and places I have shared the Good News. I encourage you to do the same. Reflect upon how you are being a friend of the Lord then go ahead and make a list!
“Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel.” Mark 16:15
