We could say that our spiritual journey is a journeying to Jesus. It is about developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Journeying to Jesus involves faith, prayer, scripture, and service. As we journey to Jesus we grow in our understanding of His teachings and follow his example of living a God-centered life of surrender.
As we journey to Jesus we grow closer and closer to being how and how God dreams us to be. It is a practical and day-to-day commitment to Jesus in all aspects of life. Journeying to Jesus requires a deep sense of faith and trust in God’s plan, even through difficult times.
The best thing about journeying to Jesus is that, if we have the desire to be with Him, Jesus will come to us. We don’t have to chase Him down. We are not on a blind and hopeless journey. By journeying to Jesus with faith and trust, we will experience His presence and companionship, both in the present life and in the life to come. Jesus promised this closeness when He said, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:18).
