It means that a Savior has been provided and that Satan has been defeated. It means that peace can enter our hearts. It means that a way to heaven is attainable.
Yes, the birth of Jesus means that there is a whole new world. Not only was there a whole new world at the exact time of his birth so many years ago, but there is a whole new world for us now, today. The same prophecies that were fulfilled at his birth continue in fulfillment. The joy that broke forth when the angels sang still echoes today. Satan is still defeated, and Jesus is our savior. The Prince of Peace continues to reign and lead us to heaven.
