BHS Receives Gold and Silver Awards

The Minnesota Health Strategy and Communications Network (MHSCN) recognized the Benedictine Health System with two awards of excellence last month. As a statewide award program, the MHSCN Awards of Excellence program considers a broad approach to a marketing communications project including a clear understanding of the situation or issue, appropriate and focused objectives, an effective strategy development and implementation process, evidence of results and evaluation and budget efficiency. Awards include honorable mention, silver and gold levels in specific categories. Awards are not given in all categories and are based on the merit of submitted projects.

BHS submitted two projects for award consideration and received a silver award for the 2012 annual report “Milestones” and a gold award for the Catholic and Benedictine Identity: Distinguishing Characteristics of the Benedictine Health System. It is particularly significant and meaningful to note that BHS projects are considered along with those from major metro hospital-based systems including Allina Health, Mayo Health, Stratis Health, Fairview, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics as well as regional health organizations and systems.

St. Scholastica Monastery is a sponsor of the BHS, and Sisters have worked and do work in the system in many manner of ministries.

Congratulations to the BHS marketing and mission integration departments who coordinated and implemented these two outstanding projects.
