At the closing of the College of St. Scholastica Faculty/Staff Institute on Monday, September 1, 2010, Sister Lois Eckes, Prioress, addressed the group in Mitchell Auditorium.
Sister Lois began, “Whether you are a returning faculty or staff member or a new one, I say ‘Welcome Home’ to where the dream seed of The College of St. Scholastica was sown by Mother Scholastica Kerst and her young, growing, creative, faith-filled community nearly 100 years ago. How marvelously and magnificently has that dream seed unfolded, creating the world-class community of learners and educators that the College is today! Each of you and all of us together are tenders of that dream that continues to unfold as we immerse ourselves and ground ourselves in the rich soil of our Catholic Benedictine heritage.”
Following her remarks, the Sisters blessed the faculty and staff.
Participants were then invited to Eucharist in Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel.
