Have you ever stopped to consider that many people in our everyday lives do not truly know the light of Christ? Because of this, we are called to make Jesus visible to the world—in other words, we are called to bring the Light.
At times, the obstacles and challenges of bringing the Light to others can feel overwhelming. We may shy away from this responsibility, thinking we are not good enough or smart enough. We might worry that we’ll do it the wrong way, that no one will listen, or worse, that we’ll be mocked or dismissed. Truth be told, none of that really matters.
What matters is whether we are trying to bring the Light. The Light—the living presence of Christ—already dwells within us. And if we want to bring the Light to others, the most important thing we can do is keep that Light burning within ourselves. Do not let it grow dim. Do not let it go out!
Pray. Learn about Jesus. Read the Bible. Do acts of kindness. Share your faith. Testify about Jesus. Tell what God has done for you. Share from your heart. Be confident that every effort will bring the Light.
