I had the blessed opportunity to spend a month in India and I loved every moment of it! I was able to visit a dear priest friend and spend time with him and his religious community. During my time, I went to Calcutta and prayed at St. Mother Teresa’s tomb, taught groups of novices, learned some new games, and got a taste of Indian culture. I am currently trying to assimilate all I experienced in India. I pray that God will open my heart and mind that I may come to understand and make full use of this great gift.
Below is my first attempt at putting my time In India into words.
In India, I reconnected with old friends and made new ones.
In India, I taught some lessons and learned many more.
In India, I experienced things that offered me answers and others that challenged me with more questions.
In India, I wondered who I was and discovered truths about others.
In India, I was both a stranger and a welcomed guest.
In India, I experienced God in the wonders of creation, in the beauty of the people, and in the difficulties and simplicity in daily life.
In India, I left part of my heart.
