People frequently ask me, “What does it take to be a Sister?” I am often taken aback by this question and unsure what they mean or how I should answer. I usually respond with a question of my own so that I can understand what they are asking and buy myself some time to formulate my answer.
Turns out when people ask, What it does take, they are asking me why I would ever want to be a Sister or more directly how do I continue to be one. Both are good questions and ones that I ask myself. Why did I become a Sister and why do I continue to be one?
Simple enough, the answer is Jesus. Jesus is the reason I became a Sister and Jesus is the reason I continue to be a Sister. Jesus called me to live this life. And, Jesus keeps me here. Being in love with Jesus, and wanting to be more in love with him is what it takes.
