Dominus Dixit 1:45
Dominus Dixit is Gregorian chant based on Psalm 2 – “The Lord said to me: You are My Son, this day have I begotten You….” This chant is sung by the Schola at the Christmas Eve Eucharist as they process through the main hall to the Gathering Place of the Chapel, where the assembly has gathered. Then the Schola leads the assembly into the chapel singing: “O Come, All Ye Faithful.”
Sanctus 2:47
Sanctus is a Latin word meaning Holy and is sung as the final words of the Preface of the Eucharistic Prayer. This Sanctus is from the Missa Sedes Sapientiae (Mass of the Seat of Wisdom), which was written in the 1930’s by Sister Agatha Gruetter, OSB of St. Scholastica Monastery.
Pascha Nostrum 1:27
Pascha Nostrum is a hymn sung by the Schola during the Easter season. The title is Latin for “Our Passover,” and the text consists of the words of several verses of Scripture.
