Would You Like to Become a Covenant Person?

Covenant people are those who have included St. Scholastica Monastery in their wills or made other estate or contribution provisions. Some of these ways of contributing may prove to have tax benefits for you. Please feel free to contact the Development Office with questions about any of the following opportunities.

  • Bequests
  • Gifts of Insurance Policies
  • Gift Annuities
  • Trusts

When you inform us that the Sisters of St. Scholastica are included in your estate plans, you become a Covenant Person. Your name will be inscribed in a book kept in the Eucharistic Chapel of our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at St. Scholastica Monastery and, with your permission, will appear in a special listing in the annual report published by the Office of Development and Public Relations. Your thoughtful long-range planning will help the Sisters continue their many ministries.

"While the work I do in the Monastery Development and Public Relations Office may seem unrelated to Sisters' ministries, in fact it serves them all through the thousands of prayer requests received and shared, throught the financial contributions processed, through the preparation of alumnae receptions and donor tours, and most of all, through the distribution of the quarterly newsletter, Pathways." — Sister Margaret James Laughlin, secretary/records coordinator in Monastery Development and Public Relations Office
