I haven’t always reflected a great deal upon the Holy Spirit. In the past I haven’t prayed much directly to the Third Person of the Trinity. Too often, like many people, when praying the Creed at Mass I say the words quickly without much reflection: “We believe in the Holy Spirit . . .”

While on vacation early in the morning I would sit by the lake as the sun came up over the far shore and danced across the water. It was amazingly beautiful, wondrously peaceful, and incredibly inspirational … a very special time and place for my prayer in the morning. . . .
